Pamela's Story

Life About two weeks after graduating from Carmel, I got a job as a secretary for a Fortune 200 company. In the ten years I was there, I worked my way up to Pension Analyst, met my husband, got married and became the stepmother of two children, bought a house and had a wonderful time. In 1986 my husband took a job in a suburb of Milwaukeess. After working several temporary jobs, I got a job as an account executive at a company that administered qualified retirement and benefit plans. When I got pregnant with my only child (a daughter, Stacia), I quit work and became a full-time mom and homemaker for over ten years. During that time I joined a local club (Wauwatosa Newcomers), met a lot of people who later became good friends, and spent a lot of time doing community service within our club. When Stacia was ten, I went back to school to get my degree in culinary arts (thinking it would be just for fun). as a baker at a natural foods co-op here is Wauwatosa. My personal chef business is going slowly but steadily, and although I have to get up at 4:00 a.m. for my baker job, my (organic of course) scones are awesome, if I do say so myself. My oldest stepchild is now married to a lovely woman, and they live in Chicago in a condo that overlooks Lake Michigan on one side and Wrigley Field on the other. My stepdaughter is working in Tampa and will probably be engaged to a wonderful man by the end of the year. My "baby" is going to be a junior in high school, is just learning how to drive and is pretty much what a 16-year old is all about (which is good and bad). My husband Rob and I have a group of wonderful friends, we entertain a lot, and are starting to travel more, which is something we both always wanted to do. This October we are spending two weeks in Italy, and I am thrilled. I really loved my years at Carmel High School, and would love to link up with old friends, so feel free to contact me at any time!
