Pamela's Story
I have lived in the Charleston/South Charleston area since high school with the exceptions of being in Morgantown and Huntington while pursuing my advanced degrees. I also lived in Lafayette, IN from 2001-2003. I missed the mountains so I came back.
That is not to say that I won't leave WV again. I don't have a crystal ball so I don't rule anything out.
My inner life (my self esteem, spiritual direction, etc) is more important to me than my outer life (my vehicle, my employment, etc). I think if I can accept and appreciate my inner life that my outside life always takes care of itself.
I have been a speech pathologist my entire career and have been very blessed to work in several different job settings. My favorite so far is home health for adults (to regain communication and swallowing skills after strokes; help maintain memory skills, etc for dementia folks). I also love my current job setting-- I'...Expand for more
m an independent contractor for the state and provide home and daycare visits to kids between the ages of 0-3 years. I love these two jobs the most because I am allowed the opportunity to not only help people but I get to establish relationships with people and their families. It's a treat for me on a daily basis.
