Pamela's Story
After graduation, I attended Lamar for two years. I quit school to work full time at Gulf States Utilities Co., now Entergy. I worked at Gulf States for 13 years. I got married in 1990 and have a daughter, Tayla (1992), who is now 16. I went back to Lamar and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 1996. I started working at The Texas Workforce Center in 1997 til present. I am a Workforce Developer Specialist II for the State of Texas.
I got divorced, and have since remarried. My husband's name is Ted.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Stevie Wonder, Oprah Winfrey and President Bill Clinton, who was at that time Governor of Arkansas.
I also have had the pleasure to know Kathleen Clinkscales, Eric Jackson, Ms. Willie M. Shaw, Lisa Sherman, Greg Young, Faye Small, Stella Carrier and Michell...Expand for more
e Ruben-Smith, who greatly influenced my life at one point or another.
I must say the person who has greatly influenced me above all is my Mother, Patsy Gordon, who taught me how to be a Mother and who first introduced me to God. She is my rock.
My hobbies are planting flowers and any activity that involves being outside. I love to watch old movies and watching movies starring Denzel Washington. I also love to shop, read books and get together with friends and family.
My favorite saying is, "All that I am, I am because of thee, all that I am not, I am not because of me", which I borrowed from a preacher here in town.
My first crush was a boy that lived down the street. I saw him recently and we had a chance to catch up on old times.
Well, this is my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!!!!!
