Patricio's Story

Better known as Ivan, I was a quiet kid that emigrated from Ecuador S.A. in '79. Spent much of my Freshman year cramming english courses and getting adjusted to a new life. As a Sophmore I joined the Cross Country team where I sucked big time, started making really good friends which I kept in touch long after graduation. Also joined the track team running distance events, I was so proud to run 4:45 mile as a Senior. After graduation I went to OC...Expand for more
C for a couple of years then took it easy, kept running though, I ran the LA Marathon in '88 and '89 then took a long time off then came my beautiful wife and my son Daniel was born in '93, my daughter Karina was born in '97. We live in Round Rock Texas now and we're all very happy to have escaped California in time, miss the OC though, I have nothing but great memories in Costa Mesa, Newport, Huntington, Irvine, Laguna etc. etc. Long live the OC
