Pasquale's Story

In school everyone knew me as Pat, I never went by Pasquale, only my close friends knew me as Pasquale. After leaving Austin, I started a career with the Postal Service. I started out as a letter carrier and worked my way up the ladder through many supervisor and manager positions and retired in 2006 after 38 years as the Postmaster of Elmhurst, IL. 2010 was a very tough year for me, I found out in September that I had cancer spent 28 days in Loyola cancer ward receiving chemo. I have been up and down with some other related health issues. I have just started the second round of chemo which consists of M-F 3 hours a day for five weeks, one week off and then continue with another 25 treatments. If this works then I will be placed on a year maintenance program. If you stop by classmates and want to say hi, please do so.March 20 2012, It has been 18 months and I am still going through chemo with daily meds. Thanks to all for the love and support, I still enjoy seeing all my friends and still have kept my sense of humor. I just finished my second year of chemo on Sept 1st 2012 for my Leukemia, It's been a rough two years but I'm still here. I guess now all I can do is move forward and pray that I can stay in remission. Well it is now May of 2014 and three months ago I lost my wife after 44 years together....Expand for more
it's been rough seeing my children struggle with the loss of their mother. It's been a little better and I guess as time goes by we all heal. Last year we also lost a very good friend of 50 years. Thanks again for all the support and I hope everyone is doing well. Last January 27, 2014 i Lost my wife Barbara Terry Moriello of 44 years, so needless to say it was a rough year. March 20,2015: I'm into my fifth year of remission with my Leukemia, but as it goes the chemo causes other health problems. I'm still fighting the fight and keeping my faith. I still have my sense of humor and still enjoy as many laughs as I can get. I think of school and how much fun it was, even tho I was always in trouble somehow. If I would have known that I would some day end up advancing my career and ending up as a Postmaster with six supervisors and 144 employees, I think I would have paid a little more attention in school. But it was so hard because all your girls were so dam pretty. We were lucky to have gone to school at such a wonderful time, everything was so wonderful, our music was the best and it was such and innocent time in our life. We have lost some dear friends in recent years, all good kids that we went to school with who have left us way to soon. I hope everyone is well and my love to all. I am also on FB.
