Pat's Story
I've been working for the State of Michigan for about 30 years. I started out (it seems like a life-time ago) as a guard at Jackson Prison. Thank God I "escaped" that job and found a nice, quiet cubicle with my name on it. Currently, I'm an analyst for the Dept of Treasury.
Been married to my hubby for 17 years, and we have a 14-year old son who alternates between keeping us young and making us feel older than dirt. [grin]
Our family also consists of Riley, our golden retriever. I swear, he's almost human.

king, crafting, and writing when the creative muse pays me a visit.
My family and I also enjoy camping. (In a tent, of course! After all, I did say "camping"!) We love the great outdoors whether it's camping, swimming in Lake Michigan, or doing a day hike through the Waterloo Recreation Area.
I'm looking forward to retirement in 2 or 3 years . . . I can already imagine life without the alarm clock and the long commute to work! But in the mean time, I'll just savor the time that isn't owed to the State of Michigan - my weekends and vacations!
