Pat's Story
Life
When I left Bayview in June 1963, I went full time with Bell. I was already working there part-time. I worked there until February 10, 1996 when I retired. I then became a general contractor overseeing a huge building (s) renovation for the next 6 months. I then did painting in model homes & people in both Richmond Hill & Thornhill. At that time I started ceramic lession & floral design lessons. I ended up doing ceramics on consignment, which I still do from time to time, & worked for a florist in North York. I then began working at in n the Disability Assessment Centre at York Central Hospital (now Mackenzie Health Sciences) . Sudbury at the end of June 2010. I was then asked to work at a multidisciplinary health clinic & arrange some t...Expand for more
hings for the Doctors & manage the physio clinic at Pinnacle Health Sciences. I did that until the end of October 2007 when my daughter Ashley said "No more Mom! you've worked enough."
My daughter Ashley (born in Janunary 1984) graduated Cum Laude with an Honours BA in May 2007 & getting married in September 2008.Ashley works as an adjudication manager at Claims Secure. She has given me the light of my life, Anson Kooper Maloney who was born in February 2014.
At the end of June 2010, I bought a house in Sudbury & my partner & I moved up here. I am now his caregiver as my partner of 28 years has dementia.
I keep busy with my gardens, multiple types of needlework, making scarves for the homeless & enjoy when old friends & family come for a visit.
