Pat's Story
I am the girl everyone thought was wierd I was in DE, and went to school half a day and worked half a day. i came to school dressed to go to work, and I am sure everyone wondered why I came to school in suits or dressy clothes., I was best friends with Shirley Coffin. I lost contact with her a few years after we graduated, found out through her family that she died of cancer a few years ago. I was also friends with Sophie Bratos. She and and I double dated with some guys that went to Centenary. If anyone knows where she is or if she is still living, please let me know I married the love of my life. He asked me to marry him on graduation night 1955. We married in Oct of that year. We have two sons and two daughters. The oldest son works for Phillips Corp, in Holland, but lives in Texas and works for Phillips from his home. He is an electrial engineer, married with one son, who is married and has two sons and one daughter. He is in the Army, stationed in Washington state.. is married with 3 sons and one grandchild. Younger daughter works as a company rep for a national corporation. She is married, 5 sons and 1 daughter.The daughter has one son. The youbger son is a Registered Nurse, with certification in emergency and critical care. He is charge nurse of the midnight shift at a large hospital. He is married to a RN, and they have 3 sons. My husband is a retired ministerand retired from the AF., we spend a lot of time doing nothing important. We love to read, watch movies, and some tv, and doing genealogy research. I was blessed to be able to live in England for 6 years, and being able to go the Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, Newfoundland. No matter where we lived our hearts were always on the place we loved best, Cajun Country. I remember a lot of names, but not faces. I have emailed some of the people that I do remember but have never got a reply from any of them., guess thats what happens when the wierd girl grows up marries and moves away for sixteen years.
