Pat's Story
Life
I have lived on Cranberry Lake in Andover, NJ for almost 30 yrs. I have 2 children. (Girl & a boy) plus three step children (2 girls & a boy). After 25 years in the travel industry, I retired for a couple of years. During that time I wrote a book, "Spirits & Eagles; A Look at Lakota Life & Traditions on Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation, SD". Fifteen years ago, I was adopted into the family of Romanus Bear Stops and participate in tradition ceremonies (sweat lodge, Sun Dance, etc.). The book is a tribute to them and how we met. My husband,Joe & I do a lot of snowmobiling in upper NY State in the winter and boating in the Atlantic (off the NJ Highlands) in the summer.
I now teach low impact aquatic exercises and do PR for company I work for and volunteer organizations.
I still keep in touch and, occasionally see, high school friends who lived in Hawthorn: Reds Perry, Judy Perry,Gloria Hillenburg, Andy Plitt, Marie Furman, Skip Copes, Judy Rosengarn, Bob Dehaven. I usually see them and a lot of others at the "Hawthorne Reunion" in February.
