Pat's Story
Life
From NY I moved to PA where I spent 11 yrs, then met my husband, Frank who moved me to Ohio and we have been married 25 yrs. I have 3 step-children and 2 grandchildren (Cody-11 yrs & Lane 9 yrs) and a basset/beagle (I call him my bagle)mix named Rufus. I'm a customer service rep with Verizon (formerly GTE) for nearly 16 yrs now and also serve as Secretary for CWA Local 4371. Frank is retired from Consolidated Freightways after 30 yrs and I'm hoping it will be my turn within the next year! t change my life, but there are many limitations that I have no control over. I guess it's like that old saying..."When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" I would love to hear from all of you and see what has become of everyone!
Whooo-hooo! I made it! Retired as of January 1, 2011! Life is good! Also have a new grandson, Brock, who is 3 months old now.
I'm in my 5th year of living with Pulmonary Hypertension. Even tho its a terminal illness, the survival rate is steadily increasing with research and introduction of new drugs. Here's to there being a cure before I'm too old to benefit from it!
