Pat's Story
I left high school planning to be the next Woodward or Berstein but left the newspaper game and went into social services. There I found my niche. Twenty years later, I'm been been child welfare, parenting expert and grant administerator, classroom teacher in at risk schools, social services on-site in the projects, and now I do drug prevention in a 10 county area. ed to help improve Bald Knob by starting a revitalization of downtown and writing a grant to remodel the train depot. I spent my life involved in community service and policy changes to improve life around here. I did consulting work for the Kellogg's Foundation on improving the Delta which includes Bald Knob.
I finally married at the age of 47 but a also have a wonderful son, age 19, from a previous engagement. I met my husband through the internet. I've had anything but a traditional life.
