Patrice's Story
Life
After high school I went to Nassau Community College, where I earned an A.A. degree. I graduated from S.U.C. at Oneonta with a B.S. in elementary education. I met my husband while working at Mays department store in Levittown. My husband John was in food service, which caused us to move frequently and to live in some different states(Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Connecticut, and eventually Florida...Expand for more
). John died 8 years ago from a rare cancer, but left me with 3 wonderful kids. My son graduated from U.C.F. in Orlando. My older daughter graduated from F.S.U. and is now in a dietetics graduate and internship program at the Univ. of Florida. The younger daughter is a sophomore at F.S.U. in Tallahassee. I teach 2nd grade and love it! Florida has been our home for 21 years and I don't miss the cold winters.
