Patricia's Story
Life
1965 was a long time ago. But doesn't seem like over 40 years. I'm not that old, it seems. I sure don't feel it. Had been active in sports throughout high school and to some extent have kept active after. Have been married to my wonderful husband Mike O'Connor since 1968. Spent 2 1/2 years in Hawaii, as Mike was in the Air Force and stationed there during the Vietnam War. Our son Michael was born in Honolulu at Hickam AFB,Ohau,Hawaii. He couldn't wait until someone would ask him where he was born once we were home.
3 1/2 yrs after Michael, came Kristin. She was born in West Islip,NY.
We live in Freeport,NY where my husband and his brothers are carryng on the family retail heating oil business.
We enjoy vacationing around the country and the carribean. We get away every year, at least. We have six grandchildren, ages 9 to
1 1/2. Our kids both graduated from Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale, which use to be Maria Regina. Both live fairly close by so we get to babysit or just do things with them. We live on the water and have a boat, so they always want to go out on it.

d I have a motorcycle also. There's a bunch of us that go biking together. I ride behind him. The bike is 700 lbs, too heavy for me to steady at a stop light. We've gone to Canada by bike for 2 weeks from here. We love that too. We're renting an RV to go cross country this summer as far as Yellowstone Natl Park.
Life can be wonderful with a man like Mike and the kids and their families. Well I went on longer than expected. Write back if you are reading this, I'd love to hear from you.
The old neighborhood certainly has changed. My mother sold her house I grew up in, in 1996. We lived in Elmont on Crest Avenue, which was the street at the back gate of Sewanhaka's football field and track. I walked home. Stanforth Junior High they finally did something with. It stood empty for close to 10 years I think. Do you remember Great Eastern Mills. And the Rottkamp Farms.
Covert Avenue Elementary School is still there.....that's real old.
'Til I hear from you.....good night. Oh by the way, my brother Bob Curran lives in Fla. for over 15 years now. Has 3 boys and 2 grandchildren.
GOOD NIGHT ALL!
