Patricia's Story
I remember Patterson High School as a very special place, and feel honored to have graduated from that school in 1966. History was at a real turning point then...Vietnam was exploding across our T.V. sets nightly, and Time magazine announced that God was dead. Fortunately, that rumor was false!
I worked a few clerk typist jobs right after graduation, including one at an advertising company in downtown Baltimore. From there I went to work for the U. S. Intelligence School at Fort Holabird, Maryland. What a dream job that was! A very special time in my life. I met and married my first husband there in 1970. We were married for 21 years and had three beautiful daughters. When that ended, I moved to Payson, Arizona and lived in that area for one year before moving once again to Prescott, Arizona. a long drought. In 2005 I was diagnosed with a variety of health issues and moved to Los Angeles, California to be near my middle daughter who had recently graduated from law school. In 2007, I married a dear friend of mine that I had met while living in Arizona, and we moved to his home in Burley, Id. The weather there proved to be way too intense for my health, so we relocated to Albany, Oregon. I am 67 now...have traveled a great deal (including an around the country hitch hiking trip with my first husband in 1972....bet THAT surprises everyone!) and now have four grandchildren from two of my daughters. Sadly, I have lost my eldest daughter some years back...a terrible tragedy for our family. It has been very difficult at times, but it has also had many high points as well. But life is like that in general, don't you think? I hope to hear from old friends.
