Patricia's Story
Life
I graduated from NIU with a BS in Elementary Education, but never taught. Contrary to Mr. McCartney's guidance that "they will always need teachers", they didn't in 1972. After backpacking in Europe with Betsy Lemmon and a college friend after graduation, I went to work for Allstate Insurance as a claim adjuster, then a claim supervisor. Incentive Company, which I did in 1978. My father retired shortly after, and I have been President of Certif-A-Gift Company since 1982.
I got married in 1977 and became step-mom to 2 future Stevenson graduates (1988 and 1990), and had a son in 1988. We still live in the area, and would love to get an e-mail from any old friends. (Not that any of us are old, mind you). Life is good, but the call of the palm trees and ocean is getting stronger every year!
