Patricia's Story
Graduated South Side, went to college and grad school, tried to get a job writing poetry or the great American novel. I used to tell my parents that I was going to open an "English Store."
Eventually I decided to become a librarian ( a profession I love!)and worked in libraries for a number of years. I later went to work for Library Journal. In 1976 I co-founded Neal-Schuman Publishers with a colleague--John Neal.
I have 3 step-daughters, 3 step-grandchildren.
I married and divorced in my twenties; I lost my second husband to cancer four years ago. Last December I married a wondeful man and am ecstatically happy.

I've travled extensively and presented workshops. lectures and seminars across the country and in Mexico, Canada, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, the Netherlands, Russia, Morroco and on the web on topics like free speech, publishing, privatization, feminism, marketing, networking, the right to know.
Life has been rewarding, sometimes sad, and often lots of fun!
