Patricia's Story

Life I was married in 1957 and moved to SC, had my son Joe in 1959. Moved back to NJ,had my daughter Beth then divorced in 1963. Bought a home in N Cape May in 1972, then married in 1974. Had a serious heart problem in 1976, sold house and moved to Florida. Husband did not want to move, so after another two years divorced him. Married again in 1978 and stayed married until he passed away in 1998.Still living in Florida and loving it. Live on an island called Vaca Cut in Marathon. It is 50 miles south of Key Largo and 50 miles north of Key West right in the heart of the Florida Keys. I have returned to Woodbury and Cape May a few times since moving away. I am going to try to come up sometime in July or August of this year. Maybe I can see some of you this summer. College I went to college on the JTPA (Job Training Partnership Act)system. e entire year, completing my term in December 1988. I was very proud of myself when, at 50 years old, I completed my studies with a 4.0 grade average and had been on the Dean's List for all 4 quarters. I had gone back to school to up-grade my business skills because I had been out of the office force for a few years and had no experience with computers. Since college I have been an Administrative Assistant, a Front Desk Manager and other administrative positions. It just goes to show you that you can teach an old brain some new technology. If I won $100 million, I'd give 100,000.00 of it to each of my children, then spend the rest on a beach -front 5 bedroom house, a van geared for disabled people with a driver and a month each year at my favorite casino in Las Vegas, The Fitzgerald. The wierdest job I ever had was riveting baby furniture. I was Patty the Riveter instead of Rosie the Riverter.
