Hello WaHi classmates and families! I loved Washington High School. I do not know why they ever closed her doors. You could hop a bus to Laurelhurst Park, Washington Park, and be back in time for lunch and we were usually pretty darn hungry and we loved those cinnamon twists! Naw, seriously, it was a great location for young people to go to school, get to their jobs, I worked at Bernstein Brother wholesale tobacco, candy, and paper Co. on 11th and Morrison just up the street from our fav Bolling Alley and across the street from Planned Parenthood. We were the most awesome school, In reg.class I always sat next to my best friend Jan Berger and another best friend was Dorinda Long...Dorinda and I are still friends today and I named one of my four children after her daughter who is a beautiful woman now and so is mine! I have always lived in Portland except for a few years here and there. I now reside in Multnomah County and I have two sons, two daughters, 8 grandchildren between 19 and 1!All boys! except my oldest grandaughter. My biggest surprise just happened.
