Patricia's Story

I graduated from Texas Southern University in June 1971. I am married to Calvin Coleman and we had two children, Calvin Jr. (Deceased) & Tonya. Born in Houston, Texas, I went to Blackshear, Dunbar, & B. H. Grimes Elementaries before attending public schools in Louisiana & California , returning home to attend school & graduate from Jack Yates High Schoo...Expand for more
l in '65. I worked as an English teacher in HISD for ten years (Hartman Middle School), before transferring to Ft. Bend ISD, also as an ELA teacher where I retired in 2003. I do lots of service work in several church ministries, & Greek organizations. I do a little writing (poetry) & I attend theater & movies when I have free time. I also like to travel.
