Patricia's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended Ball State for nursing. I completed one year there and deceided that nursing was not my calling in life. I spent ten years working in corporate banking for Bank One. I was once again faced with the fact that this too was not my future. I began working at a downtown law firm while attending culinary school. I completed my culinary degree and began working around Indy as a chef. I was fortunate to be chosen for a special culinary group who spent a month in France and Spain. What a thrill! in 2002. We moved from downtown Indy to the praire of Elwood. In addition to our computer business, we also run a small family farm. We raise our own beef, lamb, and produce. I have become a semi retired chef so that I can stay at home and raise our two small children. Yes, I have started much later than most having children. My children are Luke, 2 1/2 and Emma, 8 mos. I am glad I waited for them, they are true blessings. I do have my days that I miss the hustle of the "big" city, but all I need is to look at the wide open starry sky to set me back into check.
