Patricia's Story
After high school, I went to NYC and worked as a shoe model in a showroom in the Empire State Bldg. traveled to LA in '63 then returned to PA, attended Duquesne U on a full academic scholarship. Married Joe Parra in 1964, taught school in Harmony Twp which merged with Ambridge. Received a MEd in 1971 and had a daughter that year. Two years off then returned to teaching for the next 30 yrs! work in Special Ed-Gifted and Ed Admin. Separated in 1986 from Joe but still friends; in a relationship for the past 23 yrs. Retired in 2004. Have horses, love to travel, voracious reader, computer literate gadget freak (I'm a Mac) and a gourmet cook who loves good wine. Still friends with my grade school friend, Mary Eileen Connolly. No grandkids but daughter is married to a great guy and living in NoCal. Life is good!
