Patricia's Story
Life
Born in Pembroke, Ontario, moved to St. Catharines at age 12. Went to Parnall Public School, Grantham High School and graduated from Merritton High School. My first job was working in Grantham high school as a secretary and then went to McKinnon Industries for a year, working in the Labour Relations Dept. Married in 1966 to the Assistant Manager of Woolworths in the Fairview Shopping Center . He was made Manager and we lived in Lachine, Quebec, Ottawa, Ontario and finally Prince Rupert, BC. in 1971. y husband's job as a Woolworth Manager accounted for the many transfers to different cities.
Married for 51 years, two adopted children and one biological child who passed away at 8 months. My husband has his own businesses (camera and gift store) and keeps active with golf. He will be retiring as soon as we sell the business (whenever that happens). I work part-time, as I'm retired, mostly volunteering at our church office and our store, and enjoy traveling and keeping up old friendships, family trees etc.
