Patricia's Story

I have lived in Australia since 1975 in a rural city called Wagga Wagga. I married in 1973 and am still married to the same man. I had two childern a daugher, Elena, who is a police officer and a son, Aaron, who is finishing his degree in Architecture. My daughter has had 2 daughters, but my son is unmarried. My daughter lives in Wagga Wagga but my son lives in Sydney. I returned to study after my children were in high school to get my PhD in aquatic science. My f...Expand for more
irst degree was from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. I am now working for a catchment management authority as a wetland specialist which gets me out and about in the countryside which I love. I don't miss Wisconsin summers or winters. I enjoy the hot dry heat of Australia. I have just completed building a new sustainable house on 5 acres of land and absolutely love it. I don't miss the US of A either. It is so much more laid back here and not so many people.
