Patricia's Story

Patti's debut novel, THE BOY WHO SAID NO: An Escape to Freedom, was released nationwide on June 4, 2013. It is based on the true story of Frank Mederos, who grew up in Cuba and defected from Cuba's Special Forces to join the love of his life who left Cuba for America. ook has been named "One Book Haddon Heights" and has been called "a big, energetic story with cinematic sweep" by The Philadelphia Inquirer. The book's sequel will be released by Oceanview Publishing in July 2014. Patti is from Yardley, Pennsylvania. She earned a B.A. in history from Rider University and spent her career in public relations and marketing, primarily in the healthcare industry.
