Heavens….
An update is long overdue here. Where to begin…?
I moved to the UK with my husband and 2 girls in 1986. With the exception of a quick 3 year return to the USA (long enough to have a son and build a house) I have been here ever since.
In spite of Brexit, I consider myself European. Not really a Yank or a Brit. It fits.
It took awhile, but I love it here…and could never see myself moving back to the States.
All 3 of my children live here. Kate the oldest is a school teacher and Mum to 2 teenagers, Audrey and Donald.
Mary is a Dentist and lives nearby with her husband, a luthier and two children, Minnie and Eli.
My youngest, Parker , teaches Mathematics at Senior School.
I invited my husband to find different accommodation nearly ten years ago, best decision ever. I live wit...Expand for more
h my youngest in a house that dates back to 1665 and run a B&B out of the top floor. My village is sweet…I love it here. And I adore my big old house, although tbh it is getting to be an awful lot of work.
My passion is The Camino de Santiago. I walked the French way on my own in 2013 and have walked bits every year since. I am active in Camino groups and a passionate pilgrim. I was lucky enough to walk the last 120k with my daughter and granddaughter last year…and saw them proudly enter the Plaza and receive their Compostelas.
I haven’t been back to the US since my mums death 2 years ago. I need to do that….touch base with family and friends.
Ah well. That’s all for now.
