Patricia's Story
After college in 1975 I began my career in Urban Planning at the City of Newport Beach. I stayed there my whole career of 32 years, the last 10 as Planning Director. I retired in 2007. I also practice as a canine behavior consultant. I have had companion dogs my whole life, including several mixed-breeds, a Dachshund, a Poodle, a Brittany and five Flat-Coated Retrievers.

the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, in a post-and-beam Cape set on 2.5 acres, most of which is wooded. My current flat-coat is Dillon. While I have previously been fully involved in conformation dog shows, I had to leave that phase of life behind. After a diagnosis of Stage IV metastatic melanoma in early 2018, I have been fully engaged on that front. I am blessed to be part of the new age in cancer treatment, benefiting from the incredible advances including immunotherapy (IO).
