Patricia Burgoyne:  

After graduation I went to Victoria College for two years then to Texas A & I (now A & M Kingsville) for two years where I met my husband of 47 years, Art Burgoyne from San Antonio. When Art graduated, we moved to Port Lavaca where he was an engineer with Bauer Dredging. When Bauer was sold, we moved with ouir three sons to Fairhope, AL, a little piece of heaven, story-book town on Mobile Bay. After only a year there, the company was sold and we moved to the New Orleans area where we have been for 37 years. I taught third grade in Seadrift 1966-68. In 1977, I became a real estate agent, something I had always wanted to do since high school. Some of you will remember that I "instigated" the purchase of my parent's first home in Brookhollow in 1960 and the sale of our home in Seadrift when I decided I really wanted to be in Port Lavaca!! During lunch break in high school we would drive around looking at new homes until I found one I didn't think my mother could resist!! In 2002, I took the position of Director of Relocation for our company. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience which I did for 8.5 years only to think I wanted to manage...Expand for more
