Patricia's Story

Life Well, as we all turn 50 this year, we can really evaluate our lives and all that we have accomplished. Any of us who have raised children without a spouse...well, suffice it to say, we go straight through those pearly gates. And if your life has become all about other peoples children,and providing safe, structured organized sports for them, then you are truly blessed. I always wish that I had had the opportunity to participate in organized sports as a child. Now I facilitate every aspect of youth sports in baseball, soccer, basketball, football and cheerleading for over 2,500 young ones. I have two wonderful boys, 21 and 24. t is getting a masters in ESL education, and then will get his PhD in Journalism. I enjoy life in the DC area...never a dull moment. My years in the military prepared me psychologically for the situation which is now so apparent. God Bless America, and our leaders and our men and women in uniform. My thoughts often turn to HS, especially some great teachers and my membership in band. Band is so NOT COOL where we live, and my kids called me "band nerd" when they were in high school. But my happiest memories of high school involve band, and the friends I made. (And lost touch with all except the few that my sister runs into now and then in Orlando; she still lives there) Peace out, Trojans.
