Patricia's Story
In high school, I was probably remembered for studying all the time, paying pinochle, and owning a beautiful palomino horse. My dad was Dr. Jesse Fear. We lived on Market Street. After high school, I graduated from Penn State in Liberal Arts, lived in Switzerland for three years, then returned to Berwick to get my Master's at Bloomsburg.
I taught English and humanities in Bensalem High School for 37 years, was active in the teachers' union, and worked part time at Bucks County Community College and Educational Testing Service. I am now fully retired.
I have spent a lot of time traveling: Japan, Korea, North ...Expand for more
Africa, Kenya, Europe, Ireland, and much of the U.S. I attended NYU, working on a PhD I never finished (ABD). I am married to Ed Valenti, no kids, and live in Newtown, PA, about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia with my husband and three large, loud parrots. I am very active in local politics and community service. I have visited Berwick several times over recent years, staying with Janice and John DeFinnis.
My sister Barbara is a retired Physical Therapist, married mother of 2 and grandmother of 1, living in Boca Raton FL. We visit the Delaware beaches together every year and catch up with each other's lives.
