Patricia's Story
I have been a pastor's wife till my husband retired due to ill health in '95. My husband passed away the day before Christmas '08. I spend my time quilting and am working on my 86th quilt since I started in earnest in 1992. My four children are grown and gone. My 3 boys are married and have given me 9 grandchildren. My daughter is single. Son Mike is pastoring a church in Michigan and son Mark moved back there to help in the church there. Now I have 7 grandkids a long way away. raduated from high school in June. He is one of two grandkids that live locally.
I have a low grade non-Hodgkins Lymphona which can't be cured but can be knocked down whenever it gets active. My Oncologist said I will die of old age before my Cancer gets me!
I get to G.P. to see my brothers and umpteen cousins on occasion. After nursing my husband for so many years and not being able to go anywhere, it is a treat to go places. My sister Linda took me to Kauai in May for a week. What a kick! My daughter went with us. A first for her, too.
