Patricia's Story
Life has been very good for me! Lots of opportunity to learn, share and grow. I always wanted to be a nurse and have done that to the max - possibly worked the most hours of any nurse in the world and still at it - working as a Nursing Director. I have traveled a little living in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Kentucky, Alaska, California and now Galveston, Texas. I have two great sons, 2 super daughters in-law, 2 granddaughters (they live in CA), three amazing step kids I helped raise for a short while in KY and 2 cats. I have a real passion for my work and enjoy all the professional focus and lifelong learning.
Love to travel - love to read, enjoy politics, walk on beach, watch movies, and occasionally surf the net. I have had a moderately long life ride - as has any classmate reading this. Each day is a blessing. Losses along the way help me recognize what is important - living each day in the present and...Expand for more
in the moment.
Schooling - and I have done it alot - has taught me how very much I do not know and I continue to try to learn it all!
I have never been to a reunion but we have a great marker coming up - 50 years - I gasped when I typed it. I would enjoy helping to put it together with others - let me know.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my mother, because she was my best friend.
The teacher I would love to see would be Miss Moss - Senior English, however the odds of that on this earth are probably not too good - like my Mom. Don't misunderstand - I plan to live a much longer life!!
My biggest surprise is ending up here in Texas - I pinch myself and say "is this real?" We used to make comments about people dying and "goin to Texas" - I think I am still alive but in Texas. I have always been told I had more guts than brains. I have come to believe that it is both.
