Patricia's Story

Start typing your story here. After PHS graduation- I attended BYU, married Kevin Clawson from Denver, CO. After graduation from BYU in Interior Design, we moved to Denver. I had an Architectural Illustration business called Clawson Associates. In 1986, we moved with our 3 children to Rochester NY for my husband to take a job with PAYCHEX. Our family now has 5 children- lots of wonderful grandchildren. In 1998, we started a nonprofit to do humanitarian work in Africa, called Reach the Children. ame so involved- my husband decided to retire from business and devote all his time to Reach the Children and other African projects. I have worked as an art teacher, a classroom aide with special needs children, a care-provider for elderly clients- and have loved serving people of all ages. We have really loved Upstate NY and all the friends we have loved here. In May 2015 we were called to serve as Mission Presidents in Sierra Leone- not certain when we will return to the US- but grateful to serve where the Lord needs us.

I saw this painting in an exhibit at BYU, titled "Sacred Gifts." It was painted in 1898 by Frans Schwarts for an altar piece in a small parish in Norresundby, Denmark. It is titled "Agony in the Garden" I love the imagery
