In 1968 I lived on Hemlock off of High Street in Atwater and I went to Mitchell Junior High School. My dad had been transfered to Castle AFB and I had just moved to Atwater from Germany. In 1973, I got married before I graduated from high school. In 73 My parents lived on Atwater Blvd. They used to own the taxi company and my brother used to run the Grayhound bus station from there. My husband joined the air force and we were transfered to an Air Force Base in Aurora Colorado, close to Denver. I'll never forget Colorado, it was so beautiful. I remember having some trouble with our Chevy Luv truck making it up the steep mountains. I had never driven in snow and my husband had a good time scaring the crap out of me sliding around on the city streets of Aurora. I think that was my first panic attack. When my husband finished school in Aurora we were transfered to Beale Air Force Base in California. The base is close to the Marysville/Yuba City area, north of Sacramento.
