Patricia's Story
Life
I completed a bachelor's degree at Northeastern Illinois University and left Chicago within 6 months to pursue graduate education. I return periodically to visit family who continue to reside in Chicago.
Upon completion of graduate degrees I embarked on a 20 plus year career in higher education as faculty and administrator.

did not enjoy highschool because I found the regimentation extremely difficult.
However, one teacher at Harrison had a profound impact on me, Ms. Evelyn Crutchfield. She brought a freshness and joy to the classroom that made English fun! She is the primary reason I considered a career in education and I've not regreted my choice.
