Patrick's Story

Life High School was GREAT. Hated Queens College. Became a flight attendant for Pan Am while I was in school. Changed my major a million times. Wound up in advertising. My first job was as an art director for an Advertisng Trade publication. My second job was International Director and Executive VP of The CLIO Awards. I did that for 8 years. I moved out to LA in 78 and lived there for 5 years. Whata time! Whata town! I was in charge of 54 offices around the world which I had to visit twice a year. Then produced the show. I left CLIO in 81 and moved up to Vancouver BC to become head of broadcast production of a medium sized Canadian Advertising agency. I was there for a little over two years. My MOM had gotten ill so I made the decison to head back to NY. I opened my own company which produced TV Commercials with some of the biggest directors in the business. Yes you have seen many of my commercials. In 86 I was offered a job to head the Production department of a NY ad agency. It was fun being on the otherside of the fence again. In 1989 I decided that being your own boss was better and I reopend my Production Company and represented and produced for directors once again all over the world. I had won many awards for my work. Well living in the fast lane for so many years finally caught up to me and I retired in 1996 and moved to the country 70 miles north of NYC. I got a bit bored so I entered politics. I became the Democratic Party Chairman of my town/ Vice Chair of my county and Democratic candidate for Congress in 1998. Everything was going great until I experience a slight heart attack...so/ I was advised to...Expand for more
pull out of the race and I did. It was a big disappointment to say the least. If I couldnt be President of Cleveland/ I wanted to be President of The United States ;-). 2002. Major back surgery after falling off a horse. ( I was really cleaning out my basement/ but this horse thing sounds better) 2003. I am diagnosed with non-hutckins lymphoma. I beat it and have been fine so far. So I have a guardian angel looking after me. It took me a while to adjust to the country life. I live in a house that was built in 1850 that was a grist mill. Its built right on a stream. Its very peaceful and very secluded. I share it with my 4 dogs. So for me I say "Where Did The Time Go ? " And for those of you who have taken the time to read what I have been up to, I wish you Health, Happiness, Life and Sincerity. Do not take anything or anyone for granted/ love your loved ones and enjoy each day as if its might be your last. Steve Corbin. Thanks for teaching me style. Pat Kobetts. Thanks for teaching me class.
