Patrick's Story
Two weeks after High School I joined the U. S. Coast Guard. I spent the summer in Cape May, NJ at boot camp learning more about the Coast Guard. I held many position while I was serving, which included being a Lighthouse Caretaker for several years at the Dry Tortugas Lighthouse off the Florida Keys. was in Charleston, SC where I met my wife. I was stationed on a CG ship that did patrols in the Caribbean. The only other tour I had really that sticks out was spending a whole year in Turkey right after our daughter was born. Well, after 20 great years I retired from the Coast Guard in 1999 and moved back to sunny Florida. I currently work for Progress Energy Florida (old Florida Power) in central Florida.
