Patrick's Story
Grew up in the NW Washington community of Adams Morgan. As a teen I enjoyed sports, jazz, pop, and r&b music, and working on the weekends at the family business "Apollo Valet Shop. I pulled in an easy $60 - $100 shining shoes and pressing clothes at Apollo. When the fam moved to NC, my first year of High School in 1973, I developed a great appreciation for the Chocolate City. ank God for my Dad, a strong, courageous, stern and wise guide and teacher in my life. He always made me feel valued, and empowered to handle anything! He'd always ask me "How do you feel about that?" "So, what do you think?". He always tell me "Patrick, you have the power to overcome any obstacles, between your ears! So, think before you act!". And, "Patrick, anger is wasted enrgy! A man with no self control, is a slave! He never allowed me to feel like a victim. He'd say "never stop learning.".
