Patrick's Story
I finally copyrighted the EP I recorded back in '98 a few years ago. I've also set up a youtube page under the handle gitfiddlio.
When it comes to playing out (mostly open mics, as self-promotion is something of an achilles heel for me) I tend to play about 25% my own material, and about 75% covers. There's a good chance you'll hear the Beatles and Richard Thompson, but I also do stuff ranging from 400 year old British Murder Ballads (Matty Groves) to Death Cab for Cutie.

p completing a degree in English, and writing and editing have found their way in some capacity into just about every job I've held since university. I've extended my skillset by pursuing additional training in Graphic Arts and Technical Communication.
I've also discovered as I've gotten older that I'm a little better with my hands than I thought I was. The guy who got a D in shop is typing this on a computer he built, and will shortly shuffle off to sleep in a bed that he built.
