Patrick's Story
Hello everyone, it has been almost 30 years since I have seen most of the people I knew at Bowsher and I must say those were without a doubt some very good times. After highschool I started working at a Foundrey in Waterville Ohio and it was the worst job I ever had, inside was 115 degrees and I almost lost one of my fingers to an industrial grinder. Needless to say after that summer I was ready to go to College; So, in the fall I enrolled at the University of Toledo. I declared a Major in Music performance.I also joined the Track team, which turned out to be a good thing because it forced me to keep my grades up and I set a couple of school records in the process; the freshman Polevault and Javilin records and the Varsity Javilin record. After two years I changed Majors to Health Education and and ended up graduating in 1989 with a dual degree in School and Public Health Education with a Minor in Music. That August after graduateing I took some time off and went to Northern Ireland for a month. When I graduated from college I could not find work in my field so I worked for the Andersons...Expand for more
for 2 years and played music at night. I lived in Point Place until 1990 when my whole life changed that summer.I met and played with the Legendary Blues Artist Jr. Wells. In 1990 I left Toledo and moved to Chicago to pursue a career in music. Since then I have toured extensively throughout the United States, Hawaii, Canada, Japan, and Europe, and I have Recorded on 15 albums. I was filmed for the Martin Sorsesi Movie/ Blues Documentary at the 2001 Chicago Blues Fest. I guess the only thing left would be to say that I am single and have never been married, and I have no children, but I still keep the faith that someday I'll find someone. I now live in San Diego Ca. and have my own Blues band that I co lead with my best friend and guitar player Chris James. the name of the band is "THE BLUE FOUR"... June 12th 2008 will be the international release date of My new album/CD CHRIS JAMES and PATRICK RYNN "STOP AND THINK ABOUT IT"on the acclaimed Blues label "Earwig Music" based out of Chicago.. One last note; I am looking forward to the 30th class reunion. I hope I will be able to attend.
