Patti Hartley:

CLASS OF 1981

Patti's Story

My name is now Patti Vogel. I am married to a wonderful guy for almost 19 years. We have two children, a girl and a boy. My husband is a Classical Guitarist and he teaches and plays at many different types of events. He's going back to school for a career in the Medical Field. It's a long story. We homeschool our children. It is very rewarding, and can also be challenging. Our kids might be on the young side compared to many families who graduated in the early 1980s, but maybe some people waited to have children like we did. I enjoy a lot of things. This Fall I'm planning on taking a Tap Dance class. It should be fun. I like riding bikes with my family, watching movies, reading, swimming, playing tennis, sledding, and many other things...Expand for more
. I like to listen to a variety of music. Some might think it's a jeckle and hyde thing. I enjoy classical music, jazz, blues, some country, pop, and rock. I remember one Christmas I got a Rachmaninoff (can't spell) album and an AC/DC album. Two very different styles of music. I was happy. Sometimes I really feel old. When I'm around young adults who say things like, "I love this retro song by Elton John. Have you heard it?" OR "Wow, you grew up during the same time as the movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High. That is so cool." I get laughing when young people think that a movie really depicts how everyone used to live. Anyway, I thought I'd check this out. I'm not a gold member, and don't know if I want to be yet. Patti (Hartley) Vogel
