I have a theory that there are only two people who are truly happy in high school … the head cheerleader and the captain of the basketball team. Since I was neither, needless to say I couldn’t get out of Kelowna fast enough after graduating! Kids who are a little different like I was struggle to fit in, but that’s okay … I have since learned that fitting in is highly overrated :) I actually completed Grades 11 and 12 in three semesters and graduated in January because I was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dancing in London, England at the age of sixteen. My years in London were amazing, but unfortunately my career as a dancer was cut short due to injury and I returned to Canada to find a new passion. My second love had always been writing which led me to Simon Fraser University where I pursued a degree in Communications. After many years working in corporate communications and media relations, the growth of the Internet and the software industry led me to a new career as a Software Business Analyst.
