Patti's Story
Life
After I graduated from West Valley High school, I got married to Warren C. Fisher on December 1st 1990. A military service member from Cookeville Tennessee. We have been married 15 years and have two beautiful children. Laurin is 10 and born September 20, 1995. William is 5 and was born 2 September 2000. Warren and I left Alaska in September of 1991, he got out of the Army to further his education. We moved to Cookevile Tennessee (his home town), where he attended college at Tennessee Tech University. I worked and went to Cosmetology school while we were there for 6 years. After he graduated and was commissioned our first duty station was Fort Bragg north Carolina. I got into the Beanie Baby craze and went shopping. I am a stay at home mom, and love to scrapbook. We lived in Fayetteville, NC for 3 & 1/2 years, and then moved to Fort Lee, VA. In Virginia I was still a stay at home mom, but became a Creative Memories Consultant while raising my two children. We moved from Fort Lee, VA after 6 months and the military sent us to Europe. We were stationed in Bamberg Germany for 2 & 3/4 years then the kids and I moved from Bamberg to Wiesbaden Germany, while Warren was serving his second (year long) deployment to Iraq. ed to play volleyball. Our teams traveled all over Europe and we even went to the championships in Italy the 2nd year I played. It was great! During our time in Germany I became a Creative memories Consultant through the Germans, and I loved it !! I was also very involved community volunteer. I help at my daughters school, the chapel, the child care facility, and love to spend time with my family. We visited Oregon, Alaska and Tennessee as frequently as possible to see our families, and we really enjoyed our nearly 6 year government sponsored European Vacation. (haha)
In December of 2006 We moved from Germany to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas for Warren to go to CGSG (Command and General Staff College) with the Army. After a year there we moved back to Fairbanks, Alaska and we are now stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska!!! YES!!! After 16 years, we finally made it back home! We are blessed to have God in our lives, because if I didn't have God we wouldn't have made it this far.
School
I had a couple college classes, but didn't go for any length of time. I went to Cosmetology school and was the first student to finish my 1500 hours in 8 months and not miss a day of school. I am a licensed cosmetologist in the State of Tennessee. I am really into scrapbooking (Creative Memories), and now I am back into playing softball and volleyball.
