Austin (Patty)'s Story
Life lately:
At 30, I married a big, tall, college baseball coaching, divorced guy with a daughter. She now has a Doctorate in Psychology. It's still too early to tell how the rest of the kids will do in school. We had another daughter in '97, our Y2K son, and a set of twin boys in '01. I used to do things alone but now it's all about the family.
I am constantly hugged and kissed -- if not the kids, it's the dog. I have relatives that were shocked I could be a "Martha" because they thought I was the "Working Woman Only" type. I was a SAHM for 7 years. It got boring when the kids were all in school, the house couldn't get any cleaner, so I went back to work and found lots of changes in the work force. Good thing, I'm "sports poor" now. Very sports poor. Oh, a little music poor too..

ane, two huge fat cats, not so much of scratch cooking and baking anymore, sunscreen, chores, baseball, volleyball... and a kegerator in the garage. Nothing but microbrews!
I have been washing the gray out for years now. I don't have as much hair as I used to since perms are out and the thyroid cancer; but, I don't think others notice it like I do. Found the cancer when the twins were learning to walk. Now, they're 11 and I'm always dealing with doctors; but, it's all good. Not scary anymore.
Hubby coaches the boys now. The Suburban is loaded with camping chairs and the usual sports spectator stuff. We have piano, drum, and guitar lessons, volleyball, baseball, football .... Keeping busy, keeping very busy.
Chocolate and Thai food are my most favorite things.... beside microbrews which is funny because we're in a wine spot... nah, gimme a good beer.
