Patty's Story

Hello World! It's Me... My Family moved to Eagle Mountain in 1956 when I was 4 years old. We moved to Anderson, CA the summer of 1966 so I started High School at Anderson High. We then moved to Redding because of my Dad's job. I attended Enterprise High my 10th grade year and we moved back to Anderson by the 11th grade. I got married the summer of 69 and started 12th grade back at Anderson High. January 1970 my Husband (Bill) and I moved back to Eagle Mountain. First Son came in 1971, born in Indio and we moved back to Redding after Christmas that year. Our second son was born in Redding in 1974. From there we moved to Roseburg,OR-back to Redding-Truckee,CA-Mt Shasta, CA- back to Redding and finally ending up in Phoenix. We have called Phoenix home since 1980 but when our sons Graduated from College, Bill & I went back on the road again. The boys married and started giving us Grandchildren. (three boys and two girls). Sooooo, we both got jobs...Expand for more
in Phoenix in 2007 and came home again! We all live half a mile apart and get to spend time with the Grandkids quite often. Usually every weekend they are at our house. The 5 Grandkids are very active with sports, dance, swim team, etc, so you see we are never lacking for something to do. We love our little west valley home and are very thankful to have our Children and Grandchildren so close. Checkout the pictures.... Life is what you make of it, and we made it Great! Always Believe, Bill & Patty Koning UPDATE 2015: My Husband Bill passed away June of 2014 and my life changed so very much. I am adjusting to the new normal not liking it at times but I am a strong woman and will make it through this very difficult time in my life. Bill and I were married 45 years and I feel very blessed to have all those memories to remember him. Life is shorter than you think - make the most of it while you still have time.
