Patty's Story
Right after HS graduation I moved to SLC, Utah then Snowbird, Utah for a couple of years with Cindy Runyan, we had a blast while we were there. I decided to move back to Vancouver when I realized I would never get past impressive snow plowing or actually it was more like face plowing, of course Cindy was quite the snow~bunny. After moving back to Vancouver I became Miss Clark County in 1976. In 1978 I Married Gary Cobb (B.G."74") and we had 3 awesome kids together, Jason Cobb (Erika), Jamie Cobb (Tiffany) and Allison Cobb Eberhard (Ethan). Sadly after 9 years of marriage, Gary and I divorced.
Scott Carroll and I met through mutual friends, he is from Camas where his family had Straubs Funeral Home. We moved...Expand for more
to Camas and were foster parents to a couple of boys are kids knew. In the end we had 22 foster kids that had lived with us (not all at once are you nuts?) over 2-1/2 years as well as our 3 kids and my 92 year old spunky grandma! Scott's career had us relocating from Camas to Georgia. So we packed up the kids and moved from one year Georgia to six years in Winter Park, Florida and then back home to Vancouver. Scott's job then took us to the SF Bay area for a few years. We moved back to Vancouver in 2006 and purchased a 100+ year old church and renovated it into our home. We have 5 wonderful grandchildren, Hailey, Bre, Olivia, Noah. We love spending time with our family, volunteering and traveling.
