Moved to California after graduating from high school. Worked for GTE as a long distance operator and supervisor in Oxnard, CA. Met and married my husband in 1969. In 1977 we moved to Spokane and then two years later to Newport, WA and this has been our home for 34 years. We have been married 48 years and have 3 children...2 boys and 1 girl, and 7 grandchildren! My husband retired from Law Enforcement in 1999 then went to work for Northern Quest Casino. I retired from Newport School District in June 2011 and on the same day my husband retired from the casino. ter in Yuma my husband had a horrible ATV accident (went down a 200 ft. embankment). Broke his hip in 2 places, numerous rib fractures, lost his eyesight in one eye plus broken bones to the face and eye socket. He lived through it! His body recovered, except for his eyesight, now he will be looking at the world differently;out of one eye instead of two. We are blessed to have come this far in life with most everything intact!
My husband passed away suddenly Oct. 3, 2017, the same day we buried my mother.
I'm having difficulty dealing with of the loss of my husband and my mother. It will take time to recuperate from my loss.
