Patty's Story
I married & moved to California. I have a daughter & 2 granddaughters. I am a superior court manager.
My husband & I bought property in Boonville, CA. We have a small vineyard. We have pinot noir wine for sale. I hosted a radio show on NPR for over 10 years. It became one of the most popular shows on the station. I love to swim, water ski, cross-country ski, hike, bike, garden, read,
travel, dance, socialize w/friends, frequent art museums & theatrical shows, discover new & listen to all kinds of music, learn new things especially in the science field & about other cultures. Love learning more historical facts & politics is a subject I've been steering away from because i have a tendency to be come more passionate about than I wish to be.
My husband has had 4 strokes this year so I've had to learn more about winemaking, sale of same & vineyard maintenance along w...Expand for more
/maintaining our small ranch. I've had to upgrade one of our septic systems, install new water filter system for both homes on the property, install new underground electrical system, inventoried wine equipment, building supplies, woodworking shop, mechanical shop tools, etc, vehicles, etc & sold many items to help pay for medical costs, mortgage costs,etc.
Of course, I've become more educated about strokes & deafness since my daughter was born legally deaf. We learned sign language to teach my daughter how to speak once she was able to use hearing aids.
Life has been challenging & rewarding in many ways. But family & friends is what I treasure the most in life.
I have only kept in contact with a few high school buddies over the years & one of them just sent me a message on facebook..so I will end this story & am curious to hear what other classmates are up to these days.
