Patty's Story
Life
I moved to Arizona right after high school. I married, had a beautiful daughter and divorced all within 3 years of graduation. I attended college and after graduation began working at a level I trauma hospital where I met my current husband of two years. After dating for 6 years, we married and now have a 14 month old daughter and 14 year old daughter. We have a wonderful marriage and relish spending quality time with our beautiful family and friends. My father still resides in Olympia where we try to visit yearly.
School
I don't have a lot to write about here, as I was only at Olympia High for my junior and senior year after moving to Olympia from Arizona. I didn't know a lot of people, but I was on the dan...Expand for more
ce team my senior year. Most friends and teachers called me by my nick name, "TJ." I regret not dating more in high school. My boyfriend during my junior/senior years was two years older than I and I feel like I missed out on a lot of high school fun!
Workplace
I really enjoy my work in the Mayo Clinic Hospital Hand Therapy Department. I provide hand therapy for a diverse patient population and find my job challenging and stimulating... no two hands are the same! I am also the Clinical Coordinator for Continuing Education for our hospital's Occupational Therapy Department. I enjoy participating in research, as well as writing/publishing (Occupational Therapy topics) and presenting at local and national conferences.
