Paul's Story
Life
I moved to Henderson, Nevada after my junior year. Went to school at Basic High. It really sucked moving before my senior year. That was one long year of school. I am married. Heidi and I have a great marriage. We met while I was stationed in Wyoming. We have 2 boys, Zac-16 and Andrew-14. I joined the Air Force in 1984 and have been to Germany, Wyoming, Korea, and Montana. I traveled throughout Europe while I was stationed in Germany. I enjoyed most of my time in the Air Force. I got out of the Air Force in September 2000 and moved to San Jose to go to work for Microsoft. One of the best things I have done in my life. Heidi and I were baptized on July 14, 2002. Jesus Christ has really brought a lot of joy into our lives. The boys are taking up a lot of our time. Zac plays golf and basketball. Andrew plays football, track and basketball. They keep us busy with all of the running around to different practices and games. I went to London, Engl...Expand for more
and for a short term mission with my church in March, 2003. London was great. I learned a lot about myself and God and I also had fun. I got layed off from Microsoft in June, 2003. So, I went to a driving school and got my commercial drivers license (CDL) in January 2004. I started driving over-the-road (OTR) in the lower 48 and Canada for Swift Transportation based in Phoenix, AZ. We moved to Wheatland, Wyoming. That is the town where my wife was born and raised. So far so good. I've been to about 47 states. I think Vermont is the on state I haven't been to. Pretty cool seeing all of the stuff I wouldn't normally see if I wasn't a truck driver. The boys get to go with me during the summer. Now I work for Crete Carrier Corp based in Lincoln, NE. I do a lot more driving in the midwest and east. I was kind of getting tired of running I-5 all of the time. Driving a truck is still a great job. I really have seen what makes America a great place to live.
