Paul's Story
I went active duty in the Navy after graduation. Then I worked in machine shops for about a year and passed the Civil Service exam for the US Post Office and was a mailman (lettercarrier) for 2 years. I quit the Post Office to go to work for L.A. County Sanitation Districts. I worked my way up to Superintendent of Operations in charge of 7 treatment plants and retired in 1998 after 32 years of service (35 years with military time). 17 years with this one. We have been raising one of our granddaughters for the past 4 years. We got her when she was 4 years old and she has been a blessing. My wife is an RN at Kaiser in Riverside and plans to retire in 2 more years.
I did a lot in my lifetime. I lived on a 34ft. boat for 2 years, had up to five horses at one time, rode a Harley Davidson (full dresser), bought an eighteen wheeler and went truckin', and will finsh this when I have more time.
